Having overcome the disappointment of show cancellations firstly as a result of Covid and then as a consequence of the Orchard Theatre closure owing to RAAC, DAODS adapted well to the challenge of mounting a full-scale musical in the temporary Orchard Theatre West. A strong principal line up was supported by a large company. The significant gender imbalance was cleverly negotiated, with the entire company used to best advantage in a show which brought the audience to its feet.
