Kinky Boots was blessed with the presence of an outstanding lead in Lola, with Kemal Ibrahim performing a role he was almost born to play. With strong company support and sympathetic characterisations in the rest of the principal line up, WWOS produced another excellent show which would nonetheless have benefitted from attention to rectifiable details. Special mention must go to the Angels, who nailed the drag queen persona.
