I always think that it is very brave of drama groups to produce a play that had its origins as a successful television series. It is not easy especially when the characters are so well known and  defined. .The audience expect the cast to represent these well-known characters in every way which is not always an easy task

I thought that Ferndown drama cast certainly met the expectations. They certainly brought to life the wonderful characters who we know from the small screen in our living rooms. They all gave excellent performances throughout to create this very funny play. I felt that the delivery of the script had great pace and timing.  The audience  greatly appreciating all the gags and one liners that they had heard many times before, as if they were ticking off a check list.

Not a fault of the cast members, but like many other very funny plays that I have seen, I felt that the storyline seemed to lose it way during the second act. as if the script writer had run out of ideas and was struggling to find a suitable ending..

Full marks must go to Karen Ward for what was her directional debut and very well  done to all  involved for producing an excellent evening’s entertainment that was very enjoyable
