The bustling reality of a school day opened the show, and the Narrator took control opening up the story with a twinkle in her eye and a cheeky smile. The set was simply stylish in primary colours giving lots of performance space on a variety of levels which from the moment the curtain opened to the last moments as the cast left the stage was stylishly utilised. Casting was perfect, as mentioned the Narrator with total panache engaged us all every moment of the journey with stage presence and vocals beyond her years, the rapport that was evident between her and Joseph was fun and vibrant, this young lady is certainly one to watch out for in the future …..

Jacob and his dozen sons and wives worked beautifully as a unit, we were left in no doubt one of the dozen was unpopular with his siblings and the story telling was well portrayed by all. Joseph sang moved and performed with assurance and we empathised with his plight and cheered his success, again this young man showed maturity in his performance well beyond his 15 years. His Dad Jacob and Pharaoh were played again by an assured young man who performed these contrasting characters with style, not an easy task. Potiphar and his naughty wife also commanded the stage in their cameo roles showing you can make an impact in one short sequence. There were many highlights in this production it would be difficult to list everyone but ‘One more Angel’ and ‘Benjamin Calypso’ showed the company and soloists talents……Congratulations to every single one of you this was a total dream (excuse the pun) of a show.
