Its hard to believe that Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat is 50 years old, however it has certainly stood the test of time and continues to entertain audiences especially when you have a good actor, singer and dancer in the title role. Take 2 had one of the best in Thomas White who as always was able to pull out all the stops to make this another smash hit and he was loved by the audience.

Of course, like all shows you also need other good actors to be able to produce a great show and again Julie Whitfield who not only directed the show she also played the part of the narrator, once again Julie was superb, and you could hear every word of the sometimes-difficult songs by putting her clear diction to the test.@

Playing the part of Jacob, the father of Joseph and his brothers was Melvyn White who was also able to show of his fine singing voice and accompanied by his good acting was able to make this part his own.

As we all know Joseph has many brothers all of whom work together to make this show what it is and these were played by Marcus Roebuck as Reuben who once again was able to delight the audiences with his fine singing voice. Simeon was played by Louis Wilkinson who again was able to shine on stage as he always does, another brother who shone through was Bailey Whitfield as Judah, each time I see Bailey he gets better and better.

Playing the roles of Potiphar and The Pharaoh were Dominic Jones and Jordan Barker respectively and again both were able to deliver the goods in these parts, Potiphar’s wife was in the more than capable hands of Isabelle Yates.

Also playing excellent parts were Robin Massey as The Baker, Jack Battersby as The Butler and Alex Braithwaite, William Wells, Jack woodhouse and Harry Bladen as the other brothers. The wives were also worth a mention who were Isabelle Yates, Hannah Ragan, Maddison Redford and Freya Stones.

All the outstanding actors were ably supported by other youngsters who made up the choir in the backing chorus to produce another extremely entertaining show.

Many congratulations to everyone involved especially Julie Whitfield as Director.
