The Orchard Theatre West may not have quite the same cachet, size or facilities as the still unavailable Orchard Theatre, but DAODS made the most of the stage in this excellent production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Reimagined in modern dress, there were some excellent ideas, although it is perhaps inevitable that not all will have found favour. It was disappointing that the incredibly demanding score took its toll on some vocal performances but the overall impression remained excellent.
