Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s rock opera was given a fitting birthday production by an enthusiastic cast. The large performing area created by opening up the ‘wings’ was used to the full with multi-level staging dressed with some intriguing ephemera. LX and FX plot were effective and well cued. Good lead performances from both Jesus and Judas with noteworthy support from Pilate.
