A good funny production which played to full houses at every prformance. A John Morley script with opportunities for much comedy acting and plenty for all the youngsters in the audience to scream and shout with the ripostes from the kids (some promising comedians) giving the baddie (a good performance from John Pearce) as good as he gave. The Principal Boy & Girl (Sarah Chisem & Shanisha Barrino) were well matched, looked good and played with great charm. The comedy was well handled by the Dame (Mike Atkinson) , Silly Billy (Janet Darwin), the Vegetable Fairy (Jessica Ramsey), the King, an Elvis Presley look a like, (Jocelyn Cook) & his 2 side kicks (Ian Hague & Lisa Ramsey). Other parts were played by Clarissa Clanger (Marie Chapman), Mr. & Mrs. Giant (Emilie Knight & Roger Hewitt) with the Dragon (a very comical Dee Dawson). Of course Daisy the Cow with either Alfie Knight & Jack Chisem or Rachel Moquin & Sarah Threlfall inside was a great favourite with the audience. The 4 young dancers were accomplished and obviously enjoyed themselves and the animals on the Dame`s farm (Dee Dawson, Doreen Driffield Gwynneth Hoyle and Sian Pearce) had excellent reactions without a word said. The set, designed and made by members was bright, cheerful and a credit to them, the costumes were also excellent and the Production had many original touches which added to the enjoyment. A very comical, well presented and enjoyable experience particularly for the kids of any age.
