This was the last pantomime of the season for me, and on a nasty rainy evening it was just the tonic everyone needed, it was full of fun and laughter plus a good choice of songs.

The pantomime started in the true traditional style with Edena the Eco Fairy, (Karen Parkin, this was quite a change for her as she usually played the principal boy). She delivered her lines with panache and was a perfect foil for the evil, scheming Slimeball, (Karen Rice) who earned every "Hiss" and "Boo" that came her way.

Princess Demelza, (Zoe Cooke) had a really strong singing voice and a good stage presence that added charm to the production.  Her love interest Jack Trot (Louisa Edgar) coped admirably  with the role.

We had oodles of comedy from several different characters, Dame Trot, (Calum Davidson) and his son Simple Simon, (Amanda Gatehouse) both worked extremely hard interacting with the children in the audience.  King Bertrum (Andrew MacDonald) and Flunkit (Brian Curran) were also excellent partners for each other.

Daisy the Cow, (Ashleigh Hirst and Calum Parkin) delighted the audience with her very loud "Moo" and her other antics.

The fantastic voice of the Giant Blundore, (Andrew Patchett) thundered out all over the hall frightening the small children to death.  I have never seen a giant (Bradley Pickles) appear on stage so tall and huge, with everything in proportition, including the furniture and all props.

This pantomime zipped along at a good pace, with the sets realistcally created. A good family pamtomime enjoyed by all. Well done.
