Jack and the Beanstalk

It was still a cold dark and extremely wet December just 12 months further on! This time Back and the Jeanstalk, Sorry Fiona the Fairy (Lisa Perry), Jack and the Beanstalk. The show was a musical delight, which adorned a lavish and extremely well set stage, (Carl Denely & Derek Banks). Michael Bennett as Jack was in fine form. Michael has a splendid voice and it was used to full effect throughout. Leona Hobbs played Jack’s love interest Princess Jill, with fine performances from Tony Caley – Burnell, (Fleshcreep), Anthony Thomas, Jenny Thomson, Kath Thomas & Joanne Pedrick, Goose and Daisy the Cow respectively. The show moved at a great pace under the Director and Dame of Jon Mason Coombs. Jon is a full on traditional Dame. He never falters and kept the whole cast on its toes…. “ Jack stop that mincing walk “!….. With energy, joy and excitement from every pore the Junior Chorus who caught in the Land of the Clouds were Crazy! Rhys Deans as Silly Billy Trott was outstanding and lit up the stage engaging the audience at every opportunity. A special mention goes out to the publicity team for a great souvenir programme.

What is nice to see at Billboard is the amalgamation of youth and maturity, sewing the seeds of a sustainable and talented company. Well Done!
