From the start of the short orchestral opening and the giants booming voice, I sensed this was going to be a very special pantomime. It wasn’t just very good, it was excellent.

From beautiful clean, colourful and well fitting costumes to the bright colourful minimalist set with excellent backdrops……  From the well sung excellent songs and music from the orchestra to the company routines with innovative movement and dance, very well rehearsed and exceptionally slick. (I loved the Bug ballet, memorable and beautifully presented)

This was one of the best first nights of a show I have seen and this slick 2 hours of pantomime entertainment was also as good as I have ever seen.  The direction was excellent, interesting stage groupings and tight groups in songs, with enviable pace.  The lighting was very good, interesting and fun and the stage crew worked very hard and each scene ran seamlessly. The Alan Frayne script was fresh and new and the jokes were funny.  But all of these settings etc would be nothing without the exceptionally well cast company. Everyone was in character, they were comfortable in their roles, the delivery of dialogue was so clear I could hear every word. All the principal performances were 1st rate and with excellent voices, the singing of the principles was memorable. They had been so well rehearsed that the pace of the whole show was superb… the adult audience was really interacting and the children were totally involved. The principals and all the company are to be congratulated for working so hard to achieve this high standard and the production team has achieved its aim without any doubt. This production could grace any stage anywhere anytime. Congratulations to all concerned, and thank you once again for the graciousness and hospitality from Front of House.
