JACK AND THE BEANSTALK

As always Kippax again gave us their high standard production in all aspects of the production. The cast was very strong with Vicky Johnson (Principal Boy Jack Trott) and Hayley Harris (Principal Girl Jill) both performing with great style and confidence. Keith Speight (Dame Dottie Trott) was very lively on stage and kept the audience well involved all the time as all good Dames should! He was well backed up by Michael Tattersall as Billy Trott Dottie's rather dopey son. We do not often get a King in Jack & The Beanstalk  but Matthew Finnemore as King Maurice made a fine interpretation  in the role and was well backed up by Kay Carter as Grabbit his Henchman. Sylvia Taylor as Fairy Moonbeam was an excellent foil for John Hewitt as the very machiavellian Giant's servant he gave a superb performance maybe his best ever. Steve Parker as the Giant's voice was most effective. The choreography was outstanding with a most memorable U.V. scene. The costumes were of a very high standard especially in the Royal Air Show scene. The production team must be congratulated on this production.
