What a friendly company who welcomed Ian and myself on this our first official NODA Rep event.

We were well entertained by a talented group, young and not so young, who, due to the nature of the show, were given the opportunity to show individual skills, both singing and dancing. All of the soloists gave credible performances ably accompanied by John Higgins on the keyboard. The choreographer, Leah Pugh, is to be congratulated on her interesting and varied dances, as were Kaylie, Kim and Alysha (Dancing Shoes).

The humour of the evening was highlighted in ’Be A Clown’ with Owen  Osborn and Dancing Shoes. The show was interspersed with humorous and informative narration from various cast members.

Staging and lighting were simple but effective and the show lent itself to the cabaret style seating for a very appreciative audience.

Stanley Crabtree as director was obviously able to pass his enthusiasm for the music on to his cast. It was lovely to hear familiar songs, a lot of which are from shows which are rarely performed these days.

The hospitality was much appreciated and we look forward to being invited to future productions.
