This first night performance recovered well from an unwelcome and unplanned dress rehearsal problem to present a charming theatrical version of the much-loved film. A strong Clarence Odbody and George Bailey were supported by a cast of six in 24 other roles. Although some technical aspects would have benefitted from refinements, this was still very much an audience pleasing performance.
