I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change

It was a pleasure to make my first visit to see a Just good Friends production on behalf of Matt Hampson. It was also a first visit to St Peters Hall as well. For their 2025 production the company performed I love you You’re Perfect now Change. It is a musical comedy written by Joe De Pietro and Jimmy Roberts and is the second longest running off Broadway production.

The show is presented in a series of vignettes  connected by the central theme of love and relationships. Ollie had assembled a cast of 14 players for this production, all playing numerous roles. He had gone for a basic set with the three musicians set at the rear of the stage. Performing this type of show requires good teamwork and this was evident by the performance of every member of the cast. The vocals were very good and obviously quite a lot of work had gone into this with MD John-Paul , who also made a cameo appearance in one vignette. The scene changes were very slick and I must congratulate Ollie for the way that each member of the crew , Benji, Cai and Helen played a different charter and made the scene changes much more interesting.

Congratulations to Emma, Tom, Nikki, Hayley, Rhodri, Bethan, Kate, Chris, Viv, Peter, Katie, Andrew,  Llinos and John-Paul on their performances.
