Alan Ayckbourn’s comedy success from the 1970s, then breaking ground with a one-room set representing two rooms in which different couples live and their dinner parties on different evenings inviting the same (third) couple, proved to have relevance to adulterous unions today, although now mobile phones have made such liaisons easier. With the guilty parties’ attempts to phone each other from adjacent tables DSC as highlights, the comedy was well played by all and a true feat of directorial organisation.
