Honk!

Havering Music Makers have a reputation for producing high quality shows with high quality performers and Honk! enhanced that reputation as they returned from the Pandemic. This was a fabulously, entertaining production which was a real joy to watch. All the cast and crew worked incredibly hard with excellent chorus work, fine singing and dancing and a few magical moments.

Honk! is a fun family show with good characters and plot. It makes for an alternative to a traditional pantomime but with many of the ingredients. The costumes, colour, effects and scenery were of a professional standard with some clever use of lighting and dry ice. The design depicted the fairytale flavour throughout, which was just what was needed.

It was tremendous to watch talented performer after talented performer appear in this production. The singers were trained and disciplined with some stand out numbers. The comedic acting was first class, hitting the jokes and one-liners every time. The dancers were expertly choregraphed and delivered the routines consistently well.

To deliver a complex production of this high standard requires a fine Director and Jason Markham did a first-class job.
