A full Wednesday night audience attests to the enduring popularity of Hi-De-Hi! and its characters some thirty six years after the ninth and last series was televised. The titular catch phrase was voted 35th most popular in a 2008 poll. It was certainly very familiar to the audience who were clearly up for some participation. This was a well-judged production, with actors fulfilling expectations of much loved familiar characters and featuring many laugh out loud moments.
