This was the first time I have seen the new revised version of 'Half a Sixpence' which was very well presented. The production was well paced, and moved along nicely. There were several new musical numbers in the show by Warner Brown. Kipps (Chris Nuttall) and Ann ( Alison Wood) were both strong characters, and worked hard to bring the production to life. The shop boys and girls, each one complimented the other making a good team. Chitterlow (Michael Siegel) was an extremely lively character who bounced along full of the joys of spring, and brought out the comedy perfectly. All the other principals gave a good interpretation of their roles, backed by a good singing ensemble. There were two children one boy and one girl, who kept popping up in different scenes singing, dancing and acting their little socks off. Although I think I prefer the orignal version of the show, 'The Cricket Match' was timed beautifully to the music. Excellent choreography throughout the show, especially Flash, Bang, Wallop ! Everyones facial expressions were a delight.
