The show erupted onto the stage at The Leeds Playhouse - with an excellent set of dancers - and never came down again until the end. You couldn’t really name principals individually as they were all excellent. All their characterisations were first class - Miss Adelaide suitably ‘scatty‘, Sarah very pious, Sky was ‘masterful. Arvide and General Matilda - the Salvationists’ - were accompanied by a lady playing a Trumpet - which added to the authenticity. Many congratulations to Louise Denison (the Director and Choreographer), Jim Lunt (Musical Director) and his 5 instrumentalists, not forgetting the stage crew who kept the show running smoothly. The President of NODA made a secondary visit to Leeds Amateurs and at the end of the performance thanked the whole Society for once again providing a wonderful show and an excellent performance. Once again thank you for your invitation and please pass on to all involved my personal congratulations.
