Goodnight Mister Tom

This was an excellent stage adaptation of a much loved book which gained public attention through the television production with the late John Thaw. Imaginatively designed settings allowed frequent changes of scene to be negotiated efficiently, enabling the drama to proceed with some pace. A major strength lay in its principal line up, supported by a large and talented ensemble, with skilled direction dealing with difficult issues sensitively leading to a heart-warming climax.
