This was a thoroughly enjoyable panto from start to finish. I had a smile on my face throughout. I was particularly impressed by the difficulty of the songs and dance moves. The whole cast not only coped admirably, they did so with beaming smiles, energy and obvious enjoyment. The musical score was seriously razamatazz and the performers were extremely ebullient. AI Wyman (Robin Hood) demonstrated some impressive cool moves!

The steady pace, led by the narrators, Andrew Rose and Ashleigh Jones, together with Wendy Todd (Goldilocks) was consistently maintained. The set was cheerful and bright, the scene changes unobtrusively carried out. The main props comprising porridge bowls, baby bear sized bed and 'multi-functional' bears' chair had been well thought out and constructed. The costumes were excellent. Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Cinderella, Maid Marion and the Fairy Godmothers all looked beautiful and the Town Crier, Policemen and Bears all wore striking costumes.

The main cast of 24, ably assisted by the Villagers, were all very good and it would be impossible to single anyone out. However, the comic timing, important in a pantomime, was perfected by Rachel Stone and Carol Fellows (Fairy Godmothers). together with Frank Bingham (Mother).

Congratulations are due to Director, Rowan lathey, for her obvious hard work. She claimed to be more than 'proud'. She certainly should be. I very much look forward to First Act's next production.
