Glorious!

This was truly a tour de force for the actress playing Florence Foster Jenkins - Gill Newlyn.  I can only imagine the amount of time it took to make her terrible voice sound natural.  She was supported by a very able cast including an actual Spanish speaker which gave a whole new depth to the part of Maria.  The audience in the Village Hall was very receptive to this touching production.......maybe just as they would have been at Carnegie Hall.  It was beautifully written, well cast, well performed.......in fact Glorious!!
