Gentlemen Prefer Blondes is not a new show but one I have not seen for over 30 years and had forgotten how good it was. The casting was amazing in all the major roles they all seemed just perfect for their roles. Melanie Stephen (Lorelei Lee) was just superb as the very scheming blonde bombshell she sung, danced and acted with fantastic confidence her 'Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend' was a classic performance. She was well supported by Jane Griffin (Dorothy Shaw) the friend and chaperone who also gave a fine confident performance with a lovely easy to watch style in all her numbers. Gareth Jones (Gus Esmond) the very indignant jealous fiance gave excellent acting and singing performance  as did Chris Hall (Henry Spofford) with some convincing singing and acting scenes with Dorothy Shaw. The remaining cast all did much   to enhance the production but mention must be made of Nigel Dixon (Josephus Gage) his number 'I'm a Tingle I'm a Glow' was a master class of how to sell a number, good to see him back! The very large orchestra was tuneful if a little too aggresive at times. The sound equipment was very well tuned with all the principals being easy to hear and the set and artwork was outstanding so much to admire from all concerned.
