For Wraysbury Players this play was a brave choice.  It tackles all the difficult subjects that exist within our society today, which made the script dialogue-heavy and emotionally demanding, whilst at the same time, maintaining audience engagement.  That is no easy task, and the cast must be commended for taking on such a challenging piece and clearly investing significant effort into bringing these characters to life.

There were many moments of excellent acting throughout the evening, particularly from those portraying the Pennington family members who are at the heart of the story.  The cast worked tirelessly with a difficult script to tell the story as clearly and honestly as possible, although greater pace would have enabled the audience to connect more deeply with the family’s journey.
