Frozen Jr

Frozen Jr. is based on the 2018 Broadway and West End Disney musical. The tale of two royal sisters who have a life of blissful friendship until Elsa, the elder accidentally strikes Anna with her magic.

Leading the cast were the princesses Else and Anna, played perfectly by Evie Harvey (Elsa) and Ellie Thomas (Anna).  Both gave strong performances with strong character work, humour when required and good vocals.

The comedy highlight came from Odysseas Moraitis as Olaf, the Snowman.  His timing in delivery was spot on and what a voice.

Elsewhere, there was some very strong support from Cali Cayton as young Elsa, Lottie Provis as young Anna, Georgie Holmes as Middle Elsa, Robyn Mullooly as Middle Anna, Noah Richards-Taylor as Kristoff and Edward Phyfer as Hans/Oaken. All playing their respective characters with ease.

Each principal undertook their role with eagerness that was lovely to watch, and they had obviously dedicated themselves to their task.

It is always such a pleasure to watch the growth and development of these young people who are confidently displaying the fruits of years of careful nurturing. The enthusiasm and energy from everyone on stage was infectious from start to finish.

The set was simply but nevertheless effective. I particularly liked the projections.

The whole production was colourful, had pace, and the cast were enthusiastic and paid good attention to detail.  A charming and creative production.

This was my final official visit as NODA Rep to Billboard / Billboard juniors, therefore I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your hospitality over the years.
