This play tells the story of the lead up and drama of the 1977 interview of US President Richard Nixon by TV celebrity David Frost. All the other eight named characters are also portrayals of real people and this docudrama presents the challenge for the actors to provide the audiences with interpretations rather than impersonations.

It was a challenge that LADS took head-on with some outstanding performances throughout the cast. With a clever use of projection, the audience were transported back to 1977 and the scenes surrounding the Watergate scandal. The main interview was a gripping heavyweight encounter that swung between the two protagonists and their advisers. First Nixon is up and then Frost introduces some research that stings.

This is an entertaining and absorbing play that tells a story that many people will think they know, but perhaps not the full story. LADS are on a great roll of top-quality plays, with fine acting, directing and stage design. Frost/Nixon maintained that run.
