This specially adapted junior version of Fiddler worked very well and certainly gave the youngsters an opportunity to show that they can put over not only the lovely songs involved but also the pathos which is such a large part of this show, showing the ups and downs of family life and the sad fact that Jews have always been persecuted.

There was also a lot of fun, of course, and the cast all managed to bring this to us as well.  There were good performances from all the principal cast headed by Damon Miller and Elli Manville as Tevye and Golde.  All the other smaller characters played their parts well and together with the ensemble, helped to tell the story with good acting and singing.

The scenery was ideal and well handled and the costumes and makeup all added to the atmosphere. The programme was well laid out and contained interesting information about Jewish childhood games. Well done to all involved in putting on this show.
