Fiddler on the Roof

Fiddler has become a real staple of the amateur scene and it has become difficult to bring something new to the show but TOPPS managed to do just that.  A strong cast with outstanding principals gave the show a real new lease of life exploring the story and its emotional background in greater depth than is usual.

Perhaps a pre show announcement to switch off mobile phones might have been useful.  Fortunately none went off but it can be a useful way to prepare audiences for the start of the show as well as avoiding the possible nuisance.
