The suspended household items over the stage reminded us as we entered that the townsfolk woiuld not be able to take all their possessions when they were forced out of the town at very short notice later in the show. The company were all very well cast and played their parts so well, from Tevye (Gerard Marescaux) and Golde (Sharon Whitehead) through to ghostly Grandma Tzeital and Fruma-Sarah.

The staging was very impressive and the costumes were colourful and looked just right. The movement and dancing were well done and the Bottle dancers balanced their bottles very well. Tevys's chats with God were very entertaining but he brought out the sumpathy too. Altogether a splendid presentation and congratulations go to the production team and everyone concerned.
