This was truly a high octane show from the offset with plenty of good singing, dancing and acting from all involved. The cast which comprised of adults in adult parts and younger actors in the younger parts was excellent and it was good to see them playing parts relevant to their ages which I have to say is not always the case in some shows which we see.

If the energy and talent from the kids on this stage could have been tapped I am sure it would have been able to pay for Barnsley Christmas lights and still have more to spare, they acted, danced and sang all the way through this show and still had energy to spare at the end.

There were some excellent performances from all the cast and it would be wrong to single out anyone of them as they all added to the overall enjoyment in their own way. The story of this piece is of course set around a college in America and mainly centres around the lives of a few of its students and how they fare in both their studies and also life in general, this calls for some good acting and this is what we certainly got from the actors on stage this week.

One of the highlights of the show for me is the very moving song “Bring on Tomorrow”, the words tell the story and it is filled with emotion if done correctly, well here it was done correctly and I would think there would be many tearful eyes in the audience listening to it.

Congratulations to all involved in this production.
