Four plays, four pairs of characters, four different situations.

Jonathan and Wendy? (no names in programme) (Caroline Newman and Peter Stevens) are on a blind date and hoping to get it right this time even though they've never got it right before. Both Caroline and Peter gave us the sense of nervousness of a first meet.

Barrie? (Darren Thomas) is not really interested in women but Janet (Julia Bennett), his secretary, is persistent to bed him and sees him being gay as no reason to stop trying to marry him. These two actors gave us the awkwardness of the situation.

Shelley and Bobby (?) decided to holiday in Spain to finalise their divorce (because it was paid for). Whilst drowning in cocktails, they run through their life together virtually at each others throats, Wendy Wilson and Darren Thomas, once again, gave us convincing performances.

The final play was the funniest, with Liz King and Andrew Robinson. Angela? is marrying for the third time to the disgust of her brother Toby? played very convincingly by Andrew. A barrage of bad omens, a dress resembling a parachute, a coffee stain and many more, even one that wasn’t supposed to be there, a door that looses its handle, Andrew coping well with this situation. The result is a funny and chaotic world of love, relationships, all with reasonable happy endings.

I very much liked the very solid set and the swift stage crew. Sound I thought was extremely well executed by Kirsty Hintze. Ulli Lukas directed these four plays with a flair for comedy and the choice of her actors was uppermost, they certainly did her proud.
