Dracula Spectacula

The Beehive Studio Theatre space worked nicely for this first Youth Production by Honiton Community Theatre. This inaugural production for the Youth Theatre company showed composure and confidence and they have set their bar high for their next production. The cast smiled, danced and sang with confidence and diction was clear. Casting was good and every cast member had their little moment, performances that stick in the memory are The Count himself, Father O’Stake and the darling Frau’s who had the answers with that Lubbly Glublick! Choreography was within the companies’ capabilities but still challenging and musically a backing track was created by Ian which was approached very well. Setting was simple and the scene changes were seamless, lighting and SFX were nicely executed including the cyc used to create shadows and sound enhanced the performers’ voices. Costumes were suitably macabre and defined the characters. A totally pleasurable evening …. Congrtulations everyone.
