The Vicarage Entrance Hall set, beautifully constructed and painted to professional standards showing four practical doors, a flight of steps and two more corridor entrances, provided everything needed for the chases and concealments necessary when the Church Warden had let the (then vacant) premises for a Murder Mystery Weekend before the Bishop suddenly appointed a new lady Vicar (a novelty in 1993 when the play was written). The resulting mayhem and confusion with the Vicar and Bishop in the cast of the Mystery was played to the full by HADS' experienced cast and loved by the village audience especially when the hiring fee was diverted to the Church Roof Fund.
