Warmly welcomed by Anne and the front of house team, as I always am, I took my seat in the auditorium and settled to enjoy the show. A very simple set, with simple yet effective lighting in front of me, a basic office to the left and dance floor in front. I was intrigued as to what they were going to do with it.

A self penned show with the basic premis of a dance hall under threat of being shutdown and redundancies galore. It is the story of how the staff return the dance hall to its former glory. Essentially a way of getting 30 or so good old fashioned Rock and Roll and 60s numbers into a show. What a fantastic Idea and the whole of the auditorium was rocking to recorded tracks in Act 1 and then a full live band (as part of the staging) for act two.

This was a joyous evening with a cast so obviously enjoying themselves that this was infectious thoroughout. Singing to pre-records can sometimes prove troublesome, but not tonight. Every single member of the cast sang well and with good diction, all the words could be easily heard. Simple, effective 1960s' costumes helped us fully understand which era we were in. It's difficult to pick out any stand-out performances, everybody was so good. However, Adam Davis as "Dave", with his tall and awkward gangly stance, really had us laughing because of his great comic timing. The audience were cheering, booing (at the baddies) clapping, singing and really letting themselves have a very terrific evening. I certainly did.

Well done Milton, I shall remember this for a long time. Excellent.
