DISNEY PETER PAN JUNIOR

The special Toppers Dance & Drama in their 26th year brought the timeless Disney’s Peter Pan to the stage of the Beaufort Theatre and with the words ‘past the second star on the right and on until morning’ and their enthusiasm, energy and talent, took us on a magical journey to Neverland

Who better to open the show than Menna Hillier a star as Tinkerbell and her Fairies with expressive names such as Iridessa and Silver Mist, a magical scene, and then through the window in to the Darling house and the adventure began.

This company really are a class act and with surprising maturity Lydia Powell and Rhianne Hillier confident young people played the adults Mr and Mrs Darling.

Good performances of the children Wendy, John and Michael were given by Sophie Roberts, Hannah Powell and Mia Katie Roberts.

The central role Peter Pan was entrusted to the very talented Olivia Bird and she was perfect for the part just the right interpretation with some excellent choreography to set our feet tapping from Tammy Jones and moves for all the age groups to enjoy, not easy on a small stage and a large, energised cast, brilliant! Some interesting scenes were created throughout,

We all wait for Captain Hook, Ffion Martin a suitably strong performance and with   sidekick Smee, Victoria Williams, were a great duo, add an amazing crocodile and crocodile dancers these scenes brought the house down

This was a show to be proud of congratulations go to Director Rachel Williams and Choreographer Tammy Jone.s

Pace, fabulous storytelling, scenery, costumes and lighting were a very high standard and all this big cast safe on stage Good to see the many very young ones having their first taste of stagecraft. Toppers are to be commended that they have been making sure of this for 26 years, well done and thank you!
