Disney Frozen Jr – A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen Jr. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between two Princesses Anna and Elsa who, when faced with danger, discover their hidden talents and the powerful bond of sisterhood.
The overall impression of the set was great and certainly was the epitome of the Disney world. Lighting and sound effects were spot on and did a great deal to create just the right atmosphere in all scenes. The snow at the end was really appreciated by the audience, particularly the little girls in their Princess outfits. Costumes were fantastic and so many! All the outfits were colourful, appropriate, and fitted well.
The director Alick Leech is to be heartily congratulated for encapsulating the Disney theme so effectively and developing the cast into such a well-coordinated team who showed all the enthusiasm and commitment that one could dream of. Considering the production had two teams it would be very difficult to comment on individuals. Each principal undertook their role with eagerness that was thrilling to watch, and they had obviously dedicated themselves to their task. The choreography inspired by Jemma Connor was extremely effective and well executed by the whole ensemble. The musical director, Martin Bennetts, was responsible for the well-trained cast who delivered all the musical numbers with such artistry and maturity. The creative team are to be congratulated on their foresight and inspiration.
The whole show was a joy to watch. Every aspect was up to a high standard and moved with great pace.
