Dick Whittington was the official name for this pantomime but I feel it should have been called Comedy Tonight as that is exactly what we got. The excellent script was very well performed with every ounce of comedy situation and laughter wrung out of it, in particular the 'Baking A Pie Chuck' and the 'If I was Not On Board This Ship' scenes were excellently carried off. Amanda Eyre (Principal Boy) and Melanie Dixon (Principal Girl) both sang, danced and acted with great confidence both giving very polished and stylish performanes. Nigel Dixon (Dame Dolly Dumpling) was as brilliant as ever and Richard Wayman was a superb Idle Jack always keeping the show bubbling along. All the other cast members were up to the same high standard joining in the general theme of none stop comedy. Both the junior and senior dancers were a delight to watch. The costumes and well organised music along with good sets and very good sound and lighting gave us all a most enjoyable evening.
