A fabulous design for a brilliant light show opening set the Borough Theatre alight for Abergavenny Pantomime Company’s, Pantomime, Dick Whittington. The energised Ensemble gave us a night to remember with their fantastic numbers throughout. Choreographed with pizzazz by the professional Cait Davies, including the little shining star Isabel Davies, who showed everyone her super moves! All the stars of the Company were on stage, a regal performance from Marilyn Balkwell as The Spirit of London, and then Baddies Joe Pugh as King Rat, Luke Williams as Nip and Tristan Williams as Tuck bounced on to and around the stage as the rats, literally!! The audience was in uproar! Well done ! Ken Jones put away his golden shoes as Dame and gave us Alderman Fitzwarren this year, with his lovely Daughter Kayleigh Barton as Alice Fitzwarren giving an all round superb performance. Richard Poynter as Barrow Boy Billy his fantastic voice and great rapport with the audience enhanced every scene. A showstopper Dick Whittington ,Molly Brickley Clark whose golden voice reached the roof, and her friend Tiddles The Cat was well played by Izzy Neville. Top comedy from Snowy Clark as Dame Sarah, hilarious, even though his lines missed a beat here and there.. opening night means ready !!!

This was a fabulous night ending with a glittering Finale and we all went home with a warm glow it was a really great night out at the new Borough Theatre!!
