This play had more twists and turns than a corkscrew!
The first thing one sees in a production such as this is the set and this was ideal - well done to Les Worsfold and Geoff Baker for set deisign and construction.
Stephanie Huxley gave a lovely performance as Sarah Radford and Rhodri Curry as Geoffrey Curtis had all the endearing but annoying nervous habits that the character required! Charisse Goddard was the capable housekeeper, Lucy Baker, and Warren Goddard was Edward Donnington with Carol Reed as Kate Warren, all giving just the right attributes to these characters. Jack Radford, who was disliked by most, was played with feeling by Mark Davidson as was Anna Truman who was played by Becks Heard.
The other three characters, namely Dr Maurice Young, Cliff Jordan and Arnold Boston were played by Chris Whittle, Andy Bennett and Mark Gurney who all gave all that was necessary to make us believe in them.
There were a lot of scene changes, all handled deftly by the backstage crew and all the characters were ideally dressed for the 1980's. As usual, lots of work was carried out by those backstage so congratulations to the whole company and especially to Director Sue Beck. More murder mysteries please!
