Rapidly following its television adaption, RATS under the direction of Vic Atkins delivered a beautiful portrayal of this period piece. The set, again constructed and co designed by the very talented Lucy Chiplin was outstanding. The stage was extremely well dressed and so appropriate for the era of the 1830’s. The detail and finesse complemented the exceptional costumes that were made in house by Barbara Thane.
RATS really are an energetic and engaged company whose efforts consistently deliver a great night at the theatre to a loyal clientele. The 3 act play moved with great pace and is a testament to Vic Atkins’ talent as a director. On the night I attended the audience were rocking with laughter so job done!
The whole ensemble worked well together epitomising the theatrical ethos that is unique to RATS and I have to say this was an extremely well executed production.
Congratulations to all and thank you for the invite.
