Confusions

Thank you for inviting me to see your production of Confusions, and for making me so welcome. I am so glad that after delays and changes of actors due to Covid that you have been able to bring this play to the stage. Congratulation to the director and cast for weathering the storm of Covid and to the three actors who took on extra parts at very short notice. 

The director had obviously worked hard with the cast to understand their different roles and to bring different characterisations to each part they played. The use of different wigs costumes and accents also helped to differentiate this. The plays depend on these convincing characterisations and perfectly timed delivery of lines which in the most part, the cast achieved. The stage is quite small which must have made setting the pieces difficult, particularly as each play demanded set pieces to work around and in the most part, the actors managed to move around the stage without blocking each other. Well done to all the actors who performed in these five plays. I was impressed by the way that they all brought different characterisations to each of the parts that they played.

The back stage team all worked hard to ensure that the set, lights and sound worked well for each of the five plays.
