Company

One of the admirable things about IODS is their willingness and ambition to tackle more unusual and lesser staged musicals. Soho Cinders, Rent and Curtains have all been produced in recent years and we were delighted to see the choice of Stephen Sondheim’s Company this spring. This show is certainly one of the challenging shows to perform but this cast and crew delivered an excellent piece of musical theatre that was a pleasure to watch. 

This production benefitted significantly from the work of an exceptional creative team in Director, Choreographer and Musical Director who understood Sondheim and provided some magical moments and details. The cast pushed themselves musically and sounded tremendous with well blended harmonies and show stopping solos.

This was a show of rare quality that reminded the audiences of just how good Sondheim is and when performed well, what great musicals he has written.
