What a bizarre play!
I was not familiar with this play, to be honest I had never heard of it, so was intrigued to find out what it was all about.
This cast of 6 who worked very hard, producing some creditable performances creating some very nice pieces of theatre. Excellent team work, good delivery of dialogue, clear diction all made for a polished performance from this talented cast.
There was some continuity issues, most notably Harold suit and tie remained the same in both 1974 and 1994 and used glass, bottles and letters remained on stage throughout the play as it moved from 1974 to 1994 and 2014.
The set was well designed and functional and the lighting was appropriate. Stage props and costumes were authentic.
Congratulations to Robert Gairey who put together a strong group of actors who in turn gave the director a play to be proud of.
As always with R.A.T.S a brave choice of play in the current climate and I would urge you to continue to be bold in your choices and help to push boundaries in non professional theatre.
Congratulations to everyone involved.
