Come from Away

On a chilly October evening, SWMTC brought a burst of Canadian warmth to Windsor with their emotionally powerful production of Come From Away. Set against the backdrop of the 9/11 tragedy, this story of kindness, connection and community was delivered with honesty and heart. A packed audience responded warmly to a show that felt both intimate and impactful, thanks to clever staging, pacey direction, and an ensemble who fully embodied the show’s core message: “You are here, and you are safe.”

The show, performed with minimal set and seamless transitions, was paced perfectly and driven by an impressive band, tight harmonies, and a palpable energy from everyone on stage. Despite a few small technical niggles on the sound front, this was a highly accomplished production and a brilliant choice of show for the company.
