Closer

Patrick Marber’s 1997 drama is an interesting piece and this was an entertaining evening.  Direction was well paced, showed a clear understanding of the text and utilised the small performing area well. 

 Simple furnishing was used to great effect.  The Internet scene was timed perfectly.  A strong cast played the four characters in this challenging piece with great precision.  Good use of lighting and ambient sound added greatly to the experience.  A great presentation of a challenging work.
