From the moment I stepped into the hall I could tell this was a very friendly Society Everyone was warm and welcoming.
Lara Robinson had the best of both worlds. We loved her as Fairy Godmother and booed her as Lady Hardup and she was good in both parts.
Buttons (Emily Williams) had great stage presence and comic timing. And kept the Dames in order. Not an easy task Well done.
Cinderella (Enfys Ann Pritchard) great in the part but an amazing performance of “She Used to be Mine” you could have heard a pin drop. A definite one to watch. Paired with Prince Charming (the talented Ellie Hughes), who was a good Principal Boy, they made a perfect couple.
Dandini (Casey Baillie-Young) had fun when she changed places with the Prince and it showed, Well done
What can I say about Beryl (Lewis Knight) and Cheryl (Dion Wilson). They had us in stiches. They pranced and minced their way around both stage and audience and the humour and slight innuendo was aimed just right. No one could have been offended. I loved them.
As always it is the youngsters of the chorus that your eyes are drawn towards, and you had one or two that will be an asset in years to come.
For me it had everything a Panto should Great principles, slap stick, “He’s behind you” “Oh no he isn’t etc” a chase scene and good chorus and dancers
This Society has a lovely friendly, family feel to it and I was honoured to present your awards on behalf of Lyn, who unfortunately couldn’t make it. She missed a great show.
Thank you for your kind invitation. I thoroughly enjoyed both this production and my visit. I hope to see you all again
