An excellent Script, well written, interpreted very well by a talented cast. It opened with the Fairy Godmother and after a short rhyme, she went into the song 'The Best of Times', then the curtain went back as the Fairy Godmother disapeared and the chorus took the number over.
Prince Charming (Wendy Nuttall) and Cinderella (Haley Thompson) made a handsome couple and sang delightfully. The Prince and Dandini were immaculately costumed throughout with so many changes, and the Ugly Sisters Beryl and Cheryl had many OTT outrageous outfits.
The Ugly Sisters and the Brokers men, Snitch and Snatch interacted extremely well with the audience producing much laughter, especially in the bedroom where the sisters were being beautified, one having her legs waxed and the other one having her bosom blown up until it exploded.
Buttons (Jeremy Handley) held the Pantomime together with a good connection with the children in the audience and had a competent rapport with Cinderella. The little Major Domo (Lydon Barclay) delivered his lines loudly and clearly, he is obviously going to be an asset to the Society in the coming years. Lyndon was also part of the charming Horse.
The Musical numbers were chosen well to fit in with the story line, good modern, precise choreography enhanced this production. Congratulations to the production team. Well done everyone.
