Cinderella

Wow what a long pantomime [3hrs].

Sarah Knight lead the cast with a very good portrayal of the character Cinderella and was everything needed in a wannabe princess . Jac Ellis’s Buttons was the audiences friend and in a twist, the Fairy Godmothers assistant. James Dyer gave a strong performance as Prince Charming ably supported by Megan Jones as Dandini. Derek Williams as Baron Hardup played the suffering step-father with ease to Damon Miles’s [Candy] and Gavin Nelson’s [Floss] excellent performances of the step-daughters/ ugly sisters which contained stunning costumes, acid insults and a sprinkling of ad libs and wig malfunctions.

Good was played with a fine performance by Zoe Brook [The Fairy Godmother] while evil was in abundance by Julie Griffiths [Lady Demonica]. Good comedy performances were given by Ieuan Benney as Grabbit and Elis Slightly as Nabbit.

A well-balanced cast with a variety of ages, talents and experience. The younger members of the cast were well disciplined.

Costumes we’re bright and colourful, Scenery supplied by Scenic Property Cwmbran complimented this production.
