Ian Fleming wrote the novel “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” in 1964 and it was adapted and released in 1968 as a film with music and lyrics by the famous Sherman brothers, gaining immediate success. Much later - 2002 in fact – Chitty became a stage musical, when it ran in the London Palladium until 2005.

Kris Waller-Thomas – Caractacus Potts. Performed with great confidence and charm. His interactions with the children were seamless and natural.

Leah Davies – Truly Scrumptious. Gave a lovely, gentle performance and was everything you want Truly to be.

The children were excellently played by Laila Doggett, as Jemima and Jeremy by Harley Sage, both scene stealers. They captured their roles excellently.

Glenn Bowen – Grandpa Potts. Embodied the character of Grandpa Potts to perfection.

The main cast were supported by a strong supporting cast. The chorus were committed and put a great deal of energy into the singing, dancing and acting.

Choreography was appropriate for the company and executed so that everyone appeared to achieve what they set out to do.

Lighting, costumes, props and projections all did their part it making this a successful production.

This production was a result of what can be achieved with teamwork.

As you would expect, the audience loved this production and the final audience reaction was all the cast could have wished for.
